A Summer Celebration

This June wedding at Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park is one we will always remember. We worked closely with this couple to thoughtfully blend their Vietnamese and Pakistani cultures within an American wedding framework, creating a day that felt personal, respectful, and true to who they are. This type of planning is where we shine, supporting couples as they honor their backgrounds while designing a celebration that feels entirely their own.

Eolia Mansion provided a beautiful backdrop for the day. The setting allowed each moment to feel grounded and unhurried, from the ceremony to the celebration that followed. It is a venue that holds history and elegance while still leaving room for personality to come through.

One of the most meaningful details was the groom’s approach to his wedding day attire. He wore a tuxedo for first look photos, changed into a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai Nam for the ceremony, then returned to his tux for the reception. Wearing the Ao Dai was important to his family and to his partner, honoring where they came from while still allowing him to feel like himself throughout the day. This is something we often encourage. Your wedding day should feel comfortable and authentic, so when you look back at your photos, you see yourself exactly as you want to remember.

We were also fortunate to work alongside Jennifer Nicole Photography, who is truly a joy to collaborate with. Her fine art approach and heartfelt presence allow moments to unfold naturally, capturing emotion, movement, and connection with care and intention.

From a design perspective, we loved how this couple embraced color in a way that felt elevated and playful. Colored floating candles added warmth, blue glass water carafes brought richness to the tables, and our favorite detail, a black and white dance floor, anchored the entire reception. Dance floors are often overlooked, yet they make a strong visual statement and shape how the space feels once the celebration begins. Here, it made a noticeable difference.

The couple’s grand entrance perfectly captured their energy. With inflatable saxophones and cool sunglasses, they walked in confident, joyful, and fully present. They owned every moment, and their guests felt it right away.

This was one of the sweetest couples we have ever worked with. Their kindness, trust, and love for one another were felt throughout the entire day. We would happily plan this wedding again with them if given the chance. It was an honor to be part of their celebration.
